Dr. Donald E. Williams

Dr. Donald E. Williams is the founder of Executive & Organizational Consultants, Inc. Dr. Williams has over 25 years of clinical and consulting psychology experience and served on the staff of Mayo Clinic Rochester for nearly 20 years. During his tenure at Mayo, Dr. Williams worked with executives and leaders in industry and government from the United States and abroad. He is a consulting and board-certified clinical health psychologist (American Board of Professional Psychology/ABPP). He attained the appointment of Associate Professor of Psychology, Mayo Medical School in 1999 and served as Vice Chair of the Department of Psychiatry and Psychology, Mayo Clinic, with responsibilities in quality management. He also served on the Department’s Executive and Clinical Practice Committees and was a medical specialty editor for MayoClinic.com, a board member for Mayo HealthQuest and a member of the Institution’s Leadership Education Subcommittee (of the Personnel Committee). Since establishing Executive & Organizational Consultants in 2005, Dr. Williams has expanded his client list to include small and mid-sized companies throughout the United States. Dr. Williams has worked with CEO's and senior executives in coaching and advising roles and has assisted a number or organizations in resolving significant issues eroding organizational and management effectiveness.

Dr. Williams obtained his bachelor’s degree in biology and psychology in 1979 from Hope College; his master’s degree in physiological psychology in 1981 from the University of Georgia; and his PhD in medical psychology in 1985 from the University of Alabama at Birmingham after completing a residency in neuropsychology at the University of Florida. Dr. Williams also holds an MBA (2001) from the Executive MBA program at the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota, where he formally developed his longstanding interest in organizational behavior and development.

Dr. Williams is also the owner of DecisionPoint Behavioral Health (www.decisionpointbehavioralhealth.com ), a private practice in clinical and clinical health psychology, and a partner in and Chief Science Officer of in The Oxygen Plan Corporation (www.theoxygenplan.com ) providing an innovative approach to assisting companies in solving employee engagement problems by reducing home, work and social stress.
